    "Despite the handicaps of an out of town architect and a very short construction schedule, R. Pedersen & Sons completed the construction for the Skyboxes at the Football Stadium ahead of schedule. Failure to meet the schedule would have affected the games scheduled for the upcoming football season and would have seriously impacted the finances of the athletic program. Pedersen's ability to meet the schedule benefitted from the involvement of Richard Pedersen as a full time, on site, project manager.

    The Education Building, located at one of the main campus entrances, was a complicated project from the perspective of the building design and the changing requirements of the future building occupants. Pedersen worked well with the University to resolve both of these issues. On their own initiative, they custom designed the concrete formwork which resulted in a superior product. Numerous people in the industry have remarked on the excellent concrete work which is a dominant element in the building design. Pedersen also worked closely with the University's project manager to incorporate program changes with minimal impact on project cost and schedule.

    Although neither project was managed through "Partnering," one of the latest trends in construction management, the University always felt that R. Pedersen & Sons were on a team with us to get the best job done in the most cost effective and expeditious way."
