    The Fresno Bee Plant Addition
    Location: Fresno, CA
    Client: McClatchy Newspapers, Inc.
    Architect: SOMPM, Inc., Fresno, California

    This 139,215 square foot newspaper publishing facility includes a covered rail dock, a newsprint storage area for vertical stacking of newsprint, a newsprint lay-down area with automatic guided vehicle news print handling, a pre-press area, and a press room with color presses. Also included are a large mail room area, distribution docks, fueling station, and truck and automobile parking.

    R. Pedersen & Sons provided comprehensive pre-construction services for this project which saved the owner over a million dollars in construction costs.
